Ammerland products successful at Tattersalls

Every year again Autumn is the time of auctions, that time of the year when the young hopefuls find a new home where they will soon be prepared for their future tasks. For Gestuet Ammerland, the Tattersalls Yearling Sale, currently taking place in Newmarket, kicked off auction season quite successfully. Offered through our agent Ronald Rauscher was Lot 262, a filly by FRANKEL out of BISCAYA BAY for whom Sheikh Abdullah Almalek Alsabah won the bid for 230,000 guineas. Our second offer, a filly by LOPE DE VEGA out of BURNING HEIGHTS going as Lot 279, went to Blandford Bloodstock for 800,000 guineas.

Both yearlings go back via their dams to the top-mare BRITANNIA, who produced the two derby winners BOREAL and BORGIA, whereby BISCAYA BAY is a daughter of the latter while BURNING HEIGHTS is a daughter of BOUGAINVILLEA, a full sister of BORGIA.

The next stop will be the BBAG Sales & Racing Festival in Iffezheim on 19 and 20 October. You can find the horses we offer as well as their pedigrees under HORSES FOR SALE.
