Two-year-old MAX VEGA shines in G3 Zetland Stakes

As the leafs are beginning to turn colour and the turf conditions soften, LOPE DE VEGA's youngest crop on the racecourse continues to impress over here in Europe. The sire, who has enjoyed a stellar year so far, received yet another group win today when two-year-old MAX VEGA took the GBP60,000 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket in bold fashion with Harry Bentley aboard. The Irish bred colt prepared by Ralph Beckett for The Pickford Hill Partnership looked very strong in the 2000 m G3 challenge for the youngsters, drawing clear confidently and quickly putting ground between himself and the field while being eased early to secure a win with a three lengths margin.
