Champion2YO QUANTANAMERA runner-up in Derby Trial (C)

Following an eight-month break, QUANTANAMERA by LOPE DE VEGA returned to action at Hanover today and presented herself in very good form. Last year's Champion2YO had Martin Seidl on board for an outing in the Hanover Derby Trial, run over the Derby distance, where she finished an excellent second behind the fresh winner Wales. Like Wales, the Gestuet Faerhof-bred QUANTANAMERA is also entered for the Gr.1 German Derby in Hamburg in three weeks. In addition, the filly owned by Jürgen Sartori is also nominated for the German Oaks, the Gr.1 Henkel Preis der Diana.
