2YO BILLIEGEE first winner for Arc hero WALDGEIST

His first crop enters the racecourses this summer and yesterday our Arc winner WALDGEIST was able to sire his first winner, when the filly named BILLIEGEE won at Wolverhampton on her second lifetime start. Trained by John P. Ferguson for the Hasmonean Racing ownership group and Marnie Cleary, the filly showed fighting spirit to win by a head. BILLIEGEE is a product of the High Chaparral daughter Donau, who has produced three Black Type winners, and sold as a foal at Tattersalls for 25,000 guineas.

WALDGEIST progeny enjoyed great popularity right from the start, with Tattersalls recording an average price of 53,000 guineas for all foals and yearlings sold to date. At yesterday's BBAG Premier Yearling Sale in Iffezheim, two progeny entered the ring and fetched an average price of 51,500 Euros, which is in similar regions.
